If you have elected to use the SGPS Health/Dental plan you are covered as of September 1. There is a blackout period. During this period, Green Shield Canada will not think you are a valid insurance holder. We have to work with Green Shield and Morneau Sobeco to add all the new students. This process, as you can imagine, takes a great deal of work and time. Please be patient. The blackout period should end by mid-October. After the blackout period, you can make back claims for anything done September 1st or after. If you have any questions about the blackout period, please contact the SGPS Front Desk (frontdesk@sgps.ca).
